Evaluation of the Stripping Performance of Monochlorotriazine/Vinyl Sulphone Reactive Dyes with a Reductive Stripping Agent

The wet processing industry experiences various problems, such as the faulty and uneven shade of dyeing, colour patch formation on surface dyed fabric, etc. during dyeing subsequent textile materials. Stripping is considered a process that helps to reuse fabrics by minimizing faults. aim this paper evaluate effectiveness stripping agents quality stripped cotton knit were coloured using bi-functional (monochlorotriazine/vinyl sulphone) reactive dyes. First, trichromatic combination Drimarene Yellow CL2R, Red CL5B Blue HFRL dyes was used dye in two different percentages, namely light (0.3% owf) dark (3.0% owf). Consequently, carried out varying concentrations chemicals (hydrose (Na2S2O4) caustic soda (NaOH)) temperatures. Stripped assessed after measuring weight loss percentage, strength whiteness index efficiency. results assessment showed relatively better performance with chemical concentration 5 g/L hydrose at 100 °C. Under condition, value efficiency adequate, minimum percentage percentage. for fabric deemed be than fabric.
